Re: Want to get toned up? READ THIS!

yeh its all true and if u lift weights ( want to get muscles ) dont do any of this light weight high reps crap thats rubbish

to get lean:

phase1 - you have to build up muscle first by training hard and heavy and you wil also gain some fat ( due to eating more calories than your daily maintenance needs)
phase2 - when u have reached your desired weight or muscle size then u must try to lose the bodyfat whilst maintaining ur muscle mass ( hard but can be done )

that is the real meaning of "toned" or "lean" and it cant be done any other way

im gonna get toned is like saying im gonna turn fat into muscle lol dun make me laugh

Interesting sites, and I agree with them. According to the BMR calculator, I use 2570 Calories a day... mmm I can eat more chocolate!
Tone usually refers to harder, more defined muscle groups. To do this needs a greater muscle mass with less intramuscular and subcutaneous fat. Higher weights with less reps will do this.
