a friend of mine has an EF XR6 manual and was out cruising round on sat night. gets pulled over for a random breath test. all is fine until the cop looks at the car and says "has this been lowered?" My friend says well yes its factory lowered its an XR6! Is totally standard but seems to sit lower than most Xr's I have seen. anyway after a bit of tooing and froing the cop decides to issue a ticket for the car being too low.. didnt jack it up and check or anything like that The only was to get out of the ticket is to go to a Ford dealer and get them to verify the car is factory.... and write a letter stating this.... WTF is up with that....

Sometimes you get cops that just want to be pr*icks, and unfortunately it sticks with the rep of all of them. There are some great guys that are cops out there, they just never pull me over!

you guys may remember a post I had on here ages ago about new exhaust noise level laws. Basically the crux of it was if a cop "thought" in his opinion your noise level was too high he would green sticker your car. anyway I think the rules for low cars are similar if he thinks its too low its all over. technically the lowest point of the car can be no lower than 150 mm off the ground..
