So I decided to check my spare tyre today and what do I find in the spare wheel well..... a shite load of water.
It was only in the part where the tyre sits, nowhere else in the boot, but has started to rust my jack, the screw to hold the jack in place and a little bit around the nut holes on the wheel.
Has anyone else had this before????
I noticed that there are two rivet looking things at the back section of the well and one of these is not sitting flush, but there was quite a bit of water and I can't see how it all could have got through there.....
i've had water in there, the tyre well isnt rusted but my jack is a little rusted.
my boot seems to get a lot of condensation on the underside of the boot lid though, don't think its leaking

I would suggest adjusting the boot latch down a little, this will create a tighter seal when its closed, first drain the water out of the well, dry it out, spray some fish oil about, leave it air out, then give your car a wash and check for water afterwards
