Well that is Awsome news, buying a house is way better than renting. You will really be thankfull ya bought a house now.

I just bought one about 10 months ago, didn't think i could do it myself but I am loving it now, easier than ya think. There is always things to do (in a good way) and ya feel a sense of achievement when it's your house.

Congrats mate with any luck ill be in the same situation in about a month - we checked out the price and quality of rentals and for the same money(or just a bit more) we can buy a house of our own.

We ended up getting a 3 bedroom, highset house. It has a bar and rumpus room downstairs, double lock up garage, modern kitchen wih a decent bathroom. It has 3 air conditioners and a garden shed!
It is in Kallangur - north of brisbane. Didn't think I would ever leave strathpine.. but as they say: "the price was right!"
Was originally listed at $247k. We signed for it $227k. Can pretty much move straight into it, but we want to build a pergola (next to the bar room) polish the floor boards and maybe give it a lick of blue paint.

Have been looking for months.
Best of luck to you! I can't wait to eat nothing but rice... but then again, if I get an urge to paint a wall purple , I can. I only have to contend with andy.. no landlords.

Congrat's mate, there's nothing better than coming home to your own joint, and you can do what you want to it,when we bought our house my main concern was it had to have a double garage, her's was the rest of the house, she had to like it.
