After reading MOTOR mags muscle car shootout in which XR6T won - how come no-one has questioned the weights obtained - not only did MOTOR dyno run all the cars, but they also weighed them. Some interesting results.....

SV8 - claimed weight = 1589kg
- actual weight = 1634kg

XR8 - claimed weight = 1795kg
- actual weight = 1707kg

SS - claimed weight = 1603kg
- actual weight = 1642kg

XR6T - claimed weight = 1672kg
- actual weight = 1659kg

PLEASE EXPLAIN (especially XR8)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The XR8 weight must be an error. I can't imagine what the GT would have up front to make it 123kg heavier than XR8.

There is now way that the XR8 has a 30kW advantage and a 60 kg disadvantage to the ss, yet the SS runs faster. It must be a typo and they mean 1807.

Were all of the cars fully topped up, half empty or bone dry with their fluids like fuel? i.e. Brim full SS compared to a bone dry XR8.
