Well what can i say, after bagging the lack of involvement by Ford HQ of late, they pull this out of the Bag.
Walk against childhood Diabeties on Sunday at Albert Park
Nice BIG Ford tent, with a couple of BA parked out front and utes used as support cars around the track.
Well Done Guys, big thumbs up for me by supporting a great cause.
You might be surprised to find that Ford do this in 40 countries worldwide. It was a decree from HQ management that you will support this event in your country. Something to do with one of the Ford family suffering from Juvenille Diabeties.
Ford Australia raise something like 2.5 million a year for this cause alone.

BA XR6 - December 2002 ~ Soon to disappear if Ford CRC can't fix it....
45,000km service coming up - and i'll be asking for a sizable list of fixes:
* Gearbox (3rd time)
* Steering click (5th time)
* Brake Shudder (2nd time, and has the applied "Fix")
* etc...
Good to see FoMoCo is supporting worthwhile causes. And so they should being a large organisation. Every large company should do this sort of thing. (I'm not saying they don't, but if any don't they should0

Night_Lurker: just to add to that, Im not sure about Australia wide, but Bunnings Warehouse actively fundraises for Juvenile diabetes most of the year, for hte last 5 months my store has been fund raising through various events and chocolate sales for the fund, and we had team members out there in a Bunnings tent doing the walk for the cure as well :)
but agreed, it is good to see big business supporting a worth while cause
