I went to Pick and Pay Less wreckers today. I have to say that I was very impressed by them. I've been to wreckers before and always get treated like shit when I've tried to get something and end up paying a fortune for parts. Today at Blacktown I was helped out with what I needed to find by friendly staff.
I broke an air box clip and went to see if I could find one. I searched rows and rows of late model Falcons (only one AU) and my search wasn't looking very good as every one had the airboxes ripped out. The only one that had one with the clips was burnt out so useless to me.
Finally I was about to give up my search and came across a solitary clip that had fallen between the engine of an EF. As I was about to walk out my phone rang so while talking I walked amongst the rows of Cortinas and Lasers. There was a EF panel van amongst them and once again found a solitary clip in better condition then the last.
I got to the counter wondering how much they would charge for two clips only to be suprised when they said I could have them for free.
Thank you Pick N Pay Less, I'll be coming back when ever I need another part.

I don't know but I ordered an EF airbox lid the other day as I'm fitting a Herrod intake tube and they wanted $79.50!!!
The last time I asked they were around $55. Something is wrong there! Though I'm glad I ordered one as I said above, the only car at the wreckers with an airbox left in it was burnt out and the plastic was just a molten mess.

i go to pick'n'pay less quite often , its damn good for early E-series , and they are reasonable with pricing. however dont forget you paid $2 at the gate , so its not free! :s6: :s6:

I'm sure I remember a post from a while back about a big parts price increase Ford were having earlier in the year.
Someone was saying buy your parts now before June 1st (IIRC) as there was like a 15% price rise happening.
Hardly surprising that they're jacking up the parts prices again to help profit margins. Some of the parts prices for the BA have certainly raised my eyebrows when I've got to get them.

not having much luck in sourcing a few parts from EF/EL's lately.

The Pick N Pay Less that I went to here in Sydney was chockers full of EA, EB, and EFs. Didn't remember seeing any ELs and there was only one AU (a Station Wagon that didnt even look written off). Plenty of Cortinas (all models) and Lasers.
