If it was between March and May last year and was by an XR8 or SS then you might have been doing a few Ks less than you were booked for and are advised to contact your solicitor. See Motor Mag Sept 2002 page 116 for details.

Basically that 7 SSs and 13 XR8s were tested and were found to have innacurate speedos by double the legal amount. It has every regestration number listed of the innacurate cars. The head of the police response is that cause they are inaccurate one day does'nt mean they were 3 days earlier which is crap! They dont let motorists who are booked use this as an excuse so 1 rule for all i say. As Motor states they are trying to do some big arse covering here.

Did you notice (naah you probably didn't, I did coz I'm obsessed) that at least one of the XR8s listed was from a certain Sydney region (Endeavour) that last year got busted for operating a quota system? Interesting, no?
