Driving back from Shepparton yesterday and I see a new BA in front of me, followed it for some 20k's and passed it just out of Nagambie. Rear Badging taped up except for where you would expect to see the falcon badge, in its place was was a badge "BARRA". Car looked like a Fairmont, Dark Blue in colour with chrome highlites. No rear exhaust exit in rear bar just the dumper tucked up behind like on my TE 1. Front had driving lights but were neither the XR model round ones or the high series cars, they looked more towards the centre than the ones I've seen on the Ghia photo's.
Bonnet Buldge like on XR8 and fitted with Azzurros.

What do you guys think????

If the GT is coming out early next year, they would definitely be testing them now, and would have been for months.

Sounds like a GT-P to me. You say it had Fairmont style trim so it isn't GT. I'm also not surprised to hear that "barra" was on the car as we have previously heard reference to this name being used. If it isn't a GT-P then maybe there is another model we haven't been told about yet - in line with the old T Series? Is "Barra" a T4?

Maybe a Fairmont with GT running gear being 'tested'. I remember Ford doing it with the EL GT. Just another possibilty.

yeah they would be definately be finsihed if not very close to finsihing testing for the GT's... theyre not far to be released, and theyve got to keep the game up for the next model cycle...

as in dont discount the fact that they may even be BAII's running around by now.
