I am glad someone finally highlighted that. There are a couple of weird oversights Ford seem to have made putting the finishing touches to the BA. Firstly, the engine bay is supposed to be computer designed and ergonomic, etc. So why is the computer stuck there without a cover with production line white writing all over it. It looks a little crude to me.
Secondly, If you look on the inside of the BA's bootlid, you can see what is obviously the absence of a cover. All the holes are there for one to be clipped on, yet we are left with what I think is a rather naked and half finished boot lid. Am I just too padantic?

Nope your not, i'm guessing a wieght saving measure.
If you want one:
There a $110.00 part from Ford
Another thing that surprises me about the EEC-VII being under the bonnet is that computers (in fact any electronics equipment) and heat do do not go well together.
I think DK could set up a profitable little venture building, selling and installing watercooling kits for BAs...
Who makes the EEC? As the packaging looks very similar to the Delphi in the Commodore.
Commodore PCM lives on the side of the turret below the coolant tank about 2 in from the headers, has a fibreglass heatshield with a bit of tin foil on it.
