We've had Clevelend and we've had Winsor, so my question is, what is this new engine going to be referred to as? '5.4-Litre-Commadore-Anihilating-Super-Donk' is great, but doesn't quite have the same ring to it. :D
Anyone know?
Also, am I reading Motor (or was it Wheels?) right when it says the base Forte is going to have a 180kw stock?! Holden better hope for divine intervention I think, either that, or yet another round of crappy base model designs to turn the general populous off the Blue Oval once again. :fmad:
I think it will be known as "Ballsy!"
Other suggestions are:
-Hyperdrive
-Warpcore
-Farrrkin Huge
-BFE (Big Farkin Engine)
-Merlin
-Fluxcapacitor
-DonkMaster 10000
-Swiftkick
-StonkinDonk
-Club 54
-Grinner
-Wommera
-Choppa
-Cuda (well its going into a Barra right?)
I hope they don't name it something wimpy like Modular.. My ironing board is Modular, lego is modular.. Australia should name it because we are going to use most of em..
Forte having 180Kw? I think thats optomistic, more like 165kw I would say (still going to smoke holden), I would expect there will be N/A fords jumping around with 180 or more Kw. Maybe a 180Kw engine will be optional on the Forte..
We are all expecting power gains with Barra, as Mitsubishi has lifted its power, so has Holden, so has everyone else.. And who knows about whats going to replace the I6 later on..
This may be one of the last chances to have a range of stonking engines in a car.. So lets make em good..

AV FALCON GT, 310kw. And I bet it's not even very highly worked. Imagine what'll happen when they release a new GTHO! :CraZ:
My bet is either Romeo or Modular 5.4.
Oooh yeah can't wait for the GT, if the 250kw 5.6L Windsor is just a warmup we should be in for good times i say....
:D :D

About time they gave engines decent names again I say. I mean, "Gen III", "LS1" and "Synergy 5000" don't exactly quicken the pulse, do they? Remeber when engines had names like Commando, Fireball, Magnum, Crossfire, BOSS......
