I'm upgrading my car and have the following options: a 2002 TE50 auto in silhouette (demonstrator) or a new XR6 Turbo.
I'd love an 8 and the TE is a great car but it's an auto. On the other hand the XR6T would be a new car and the BA is so good but it might be just a tad common on the roads.
What do you guys think?
I'd like to make a decision by tomorrow. I'm so confused.
Never mind how 'common' it may or may not be, nor what anyone one of us would buy.
Look at both cars on there own merits.
Both are quick, both handle good, both are refined.
The AU series was (is) a great car, Ford excelled themselves with the BA as it is even better in some significant areas. You need to figure out if the things which have been improved are important to you.
I personally would purchase the BA as it is better in areas which I find important, that is, engine, suspension and chassis rigidity.
I also much prefer the look of the BA's, but that's just personal preference.
The auto is also a no brainer for me, I hate em'.
(I also can't stand that wimpy Windsor engine).
