Cold air intake will be the easiest and cheapest thing.
Is it auto or manual??
........ alot will say go 5spd manual if its auto, it'll give you about the same boost as the extractors+ its funner. If a manual is outa the $$$ range(and you got a auto) , go a shift kit
You could also look at cams, and chips. Hold off on the chip till youve finished filddling around, that way it can be programed to optimise you previous mods

Its a Auto and I dont know much about cars. So I need to know what to get done on it and the best mechanic. Yes price is important, but rather spend the extra and get it professionally done!
And what a shift kit?

Shift kit makes it change gears faster, and kicks down faster. It also reinforces the gbox. Savage setups make tyres chirp from 1st to 2nd, 3rd to 4th. One for my EF2 was $300-400.
Make a new thread for Cold air induction for ideas. Most drill a hole in the air filter box, and run a pipe down the side and out under the bumper. Pipe and drill bit if needed cant be much more than $20-30.
Have a look at www.fordmods.com for ideas, and it shows how to put a XH snorkle on ya car- breath better $20ish.
2nd hand 5spd gbox cost anywhere from $600(if lucky) upward. Install will cost a bit, depends whats needed, and what you got. JT got it done as a mechs side project(4weeks) for $400-500 i think... mite be wrong.
