Was at a BBQ this afternoon (yep, lovely weather for it - NOT) and, when time to go, everyone came out to look at my 'new' car. Quite a compliment, I guess, seeing as it's almost 2 years old :s6:
Anyway, other than the guys there who loved the whole 'package', the girls finally were sold on the following:

The coin holder in the centre console
The foldup mobile phone holder that disappears into the centre console
The sunroof closing automatically when the keys removed
I guess Ford marketing does their research after all!
:s6:

Maaate going an AUII/III Falcon XR is the going thing.
On the subject of positive comments from others i visited a mate of mine last night who use to own a very very nice Nismo optioned R33 Skyline which incidently was on a similar price bracket to my baby. He was particularly impressed by the XR cloth trim and overall co-ordination of the interior colours and styling. His particular appraisals were about the two tone dash combo of the black and the metallic grey oval binnacle and the goldish shade HVAC dials. I actually never thought of the XR interior in that way.
He even went as far as commenting that the Skyline interior was the pits in colour "ie all black" compared to the XR6.
Also thought the Ford Premium stereo for a stock system sounded fantastic. Overall he was mightly impressed.

Momo wheel and gear knob, overall interior presentation (except leather seats have non-matching vinyl backs), and V8 sound. That's before we go for a drive....
After the drive, I have problems understanding them....
