Its about what I paid for mine. An EDV8 with 26,000. Not an XR tho, but immaculate. Think of it this way. Its practically a new car. (But needs 2 more cylinders)

Sinclair Ford at Penrith had an 93 EB XR6 for sale. From memory it had 124,000 K, it was a 5 speed and needed some TLC. They wanted 5 for it. They brought it from a wholesaler and needs a new clutch, rear mains seal and the diff was a little noisy. I still think not a bad buy for the price.
45k for an ED is excellent km's, i'd personally go for it if i was after an ED XR6. I always say for cars you can't get champaign on a beer price. You gotta pay for immaculateness.
I think BigRed drives an ED Falcon.

Too pricey in my books as well. Disregard the km's for a moment and check the car over, service history etc. If the car hasn't been serviced every 6 months then it might shit itself when you start putting lots of k's quickly.
I'd keep looking if it hasn't been serviced every 6mnths.
High km's on 6cyl and V8's shouldn't be a problem if the car has been well looked after.
the first XR models didnt have the four headlights- i missed out :(
i paid $9000 for mine, private sale, bog stock manual with all options (bodykit, MOMO steering wheel, LSD, cruise, A/C, ABS etc) in mint condition with 110,000k on the clock.
