hmm well this comes up every now and then; but reading newish ideas is good.

Upgraded 'boxs is a given; the 4 speeder has to die.

Some kind of limited edition FPV vechile; called it B2B (back to back). As long has it hauls arse I really dont care what they call it but its needed. Even a bloody concept car...just something!

Diesel power in commercials and terry.

FPV make some sort of cataloge ala SVT for owners of ALL types of falcons. Im not saying that I want a FPV zorts for the ED, but atleast for BA onwards. They would make a killing IMO.

Other than that; I just think the current cars need refinement (eg- fuel consumption, weight) and then ford would have a real winner.

But we all have to remember that Ford Oz have a certain budget, and that the majority of their cars are in price sensitive categories.

Im happy as a kid at chrismas with my new MKII xr8, my only gripe is low down grunt which seems to be none existent once the car is edited. Ford should piss off the torque limiting in the Boss engines other than that they would be screamers. I agree with everything Cobra has written with the exception of the xr6/xr6T getting the 18's standard, nope let the xr8 have them only. I love the standard brakes on mine but bigger is better so i'll have them. I would also like to see the rear aircon vents be able to be vented into the center console (Drinks cooler). And Please Please have full electric seats, atleast have the leaver kind not thw twistie knob on the passenger side for recliner driver must be full elec.


As for the GTHO priceing it at $11o,ooo is a bit steep but it closer to a GTS would be more realistic. These Boss engines have so much power and the only thing holding them back is the factory ecu and a few Weak parts. Said power outputs would be easy to reach, a few more revs and different cam spec and factory CAI & U/D pullies for the GTHO would put it right up at the 350+kw range, not a bad start for a phase 1.

If ford do ever release a new GTHO i hope ford drop the GT-P and give all it options and good bits to the GT.

Oh yea i forgot this but i think we can squeeze in 4 airbags as standard on xr models and 6 on FPV models, where are the optional 2 airbags on the current xr's. One thing we could do without is that driveline shunt, you do learn to drive around it and not get it as much but if it wasn't there to start with it'd be great.

This is off track from you guys but I would like to see the sliding cover on ALL sunvisor mirrors...nothing worse than pulling that down and looking at myself

Also ( for all models) the adjustable seat belt doovy as I'm too short! and passenger seats that are adjustable in height as well. Standard dark tinted windows...standard intergrated phone connection for mobile phones with the driver speaker microphone...umm, I will think about the rest



Oh yeah, fire extinguisher as well

The main thing i can come up with that would be major enough is how about ford actually put there minds into there paint work!!! and actually get the paint to stick to there cars...

Satellite navigation standard on Fairmont Ghia and GT-P.
Leather and sunroof standard on GT-P.
More power in Ghia (plus LSD standard).
4 x airbags on all cars.
Alloy wheels standard on XT.
Optional performance upgrades on Ghia (Boss motor, 18 inch wheels, premium brakes).
MORE interior colour schemes (red leather, tan leather, blue leather options).
Tune of current V8's for MEGA low-end torque.
Hurry up with the 6-speed auto and put it standard in Farimont, Fairmont Ghia, XR's and FPV's.
Make a Territory Turbo and an FPV Territory monster.
Make some decent and appealing LWB cars.
And last but not least, fix up current problems concerning diffs, F6 clutches and brake issues.

Only if Ford would listen
