Not mean enough! Since I got my new tires, it's a LOT quieter internally than before and I can hear that it's too quiet externally!

Not sure what I can do about that and even if I want to. It's still under warranty too, so dunno.

I've recently had my exhaust change, and must say it's subtle, i deliberately went down the quieter side of systems available. I've mentioned many times before i hate all noise no go systems and droaning/resonating systems.

At cruise it's very quiet, but when revved theres a destinct note unlike the stockie amd the peak of the exhaust noise builds up to around 2000-2200rpm under load (ie. up hill in 4th or 5th).
After that theres a nice subtle exhaust note the whole way to redline with that really nice AU revvy sound with a nice induction note too boot. :s6: :s6:

my NC V8 sounds ok but i have to admit that there isnt much muffler left and the windows/sunroof were open haha.
it will sound a whole bit sweeter with the EL XR8 dual system fitted than the stock one it has now

My XR6, you could hear the whistle of the blower more than you could hear the exhaust, especially at lower rpm. The exhaust note on it was quite deep & often people said it sounded like a V8.

My Fairmont V8 is very quiet with the standard exhaust on it. When you get the revs up though it sounds very nice.

my au xr8 sounds pretty quiet at cruising speeds but around the city changing up and down through the gears it really bellows.has a real deep throuty note that borders on being thunderous at full throttle.it has a twin 2 1/2 inch mandrel bent system with the stock headers for the time being.no resonators and twin lukey race magnum mufflers.lucky no droaning or resonating in the system.so at least i can leave the earplugs at home. :-) i think it sounds pretty damn good especially on overrun when it starts to back fire and burble down through the rev range.
