Heres a bit of background with my car. Its a ED Inline 6 Auto.
Engine
AU XR6 Head Rebuilt with Bigger Exhaust and Intake Valves, JMM DEV3HL Cam, Vernier Cam Gear.
Exhaust
JMM Race Series, HI-Flow Cat, HI-Flow Muffler, 2 1/2 Inch Mandrel Bend.
CAI & Fuel
XH Snorkel, K&N Filter, Ported Throttle Body, ED XR6 Fuel Reg, BP Ultimate

NOW my 0-100kms time is around 8.4ish and other people i know like a mate of mine runs 7.5's and he has a EF Fairmont with shift kit, same exhaust setup, running a au cam, and another mate that has a EB Spak with shift kit, wade cam, pacemakkers comp and runs 7.5's also so what the hell is wrong with mine?

What diff you running mate? Have you got the shift kit too?

How are you timing these cars? Have you got a chip? Get it on a dyno and get it tuned. Then give it a few cracks down at the local strip and see what times you're running.

BTW, what's the specs of the ported throttle body?

how does an EF fairmont run an AU cam?
is that possible?

With all those N/A mods to increase high rpm power, you'd really want to have the right diff ratio.

well i got a 3:08 single spinner, the car only jsut runs better then a stock eb, no shift kit, and yes you can run a au cam in a ef his car is proof of it

An AU cam WON'T go in, you'd need AU head and lifters to go with it.

BTW, your diff sucks. Get something lower for sure.

as said above an AU cam WILL NOT work in an EF head.

3.08 is shocking for decent acceleration with an auto, look at 3.7 or 3.89 and get a good tune.
