Hi ford fans-

I'm doing some research on what motivates ford fans - for school - what about the Ford brand do you like the best? And what things do you think needs to be improved? My assignment is due wednesday so feel free to post away until then!

I like Fords because they have good quality and can last a long time. If they are well cared for, the will go for a long time. I've had a 63 Lincoln with 280,000 miles a 1980 F150 with 253,000 miles, (which a friend has and it's still going at 260,000) and I'm driving a 2000 Crown Victoria with 154,000 miles and haven't had anything but service items replaced. The only thngs needing improvement that I can think of offhand are on the 2003> F150. The driveshaft has to be replaced if the center bearing goes out and the front brake rotors aren't easy to do as in the past.

Thanks for responding, good comments about the quality and aobut the Lincoln and F150, I appreciate it especially since there seems to be a lot of "haters" out there about Ford Quality (they're probably not educated...) Additionally, I've noticed a lot of Ford "haters" and Ford "lovers" - I noticed most of the Ford "haters" are not international car fans but domestic car fans.....anybody care to explain this?

One thing I was thinking about mentioning in my research is possibly Ford needs to educate the mass public more about the quality of their cars...any thoughts about this?

From what I'm gathering, I'm seeing that a A lot of the new Ford fans these days seem to be techies.... probably due to the Ford SYNC platform ....

I need to know what this "Research"!! going to be uses for...and why?? This comes out of the Blue, and a little Suspicious....

I will give you this...I grew up in a Ford Family...My first car was a 67 "Stang" 289cc 3 spd...My Children Drive Ford...and Your Damn Right We love our Domestic Cars...why go any where else.

i did not grow up in a ford family but have only ever liked ford some of that comes from my dad giving me a book to read when i was very young about henry ford and the t model.
AS for qaulity all brands have good and bad to me its not that its the whole ford history and what it has meant to the world.

I my be a bit baised to ford but i like other cars aswell but nothing gets me going like seeing a ford big or small.
I have owned alot of fords over the last 30 years i still own a t model ford,a taurus,and a 2007 ford falcon future aussie ford of cause.

To add to this i am a ford factory trained mechanic so i also owe my livly hood to the great blue oval.

I like Ford not only because of the great cars but also it's racing heritage dating back many years and also its international presence. Almost anywhere I go I will see a Ford and it will be badged a Ford too.
