Oi I owned one. A very reliable car. It was able to handle all the shit I gave to it. Sure it only had 49kw but the memories..

The mrs had a barina a few years ago,
It was a 1.2L, very reliable, tank of fuel would go for 600 odd k's, and would take around 45 seconds to go from idle to the rev limiter in 1st gear.

Wheelman - should price up a 1.6 GSI for it - probably get a front cut fairly cheap.
