What oil ford recomends?

what oil did ford recomend as original for an EF?

ford recommends 20-50 currently im using mobil1 synth 5-40/50?

94 ED Fairmont Auto.
Pacemaker Extractors, 2.5" Mandrel Exhaust, Hi-Flow Cat, Stright Through Muff, Broadband Intake Manifold, EEC V, Wood Grain Trim.
Thermo Conversion, AU XR8 Intake Snorkel, 10mm Spiral Core Leads, Shift Kit, Mock Dev5a Cam, King Low Springs.
17" ROH Shadow Chrome RT's, K&N Air Filter, LSD Conversion w/ 3.7 Gears.

If you look in your handbooks..or Gregories Manuals you will find Ford suggest Penrite HPR 15 which is a 15W-50...quite suitable for the whole E-Series range of motors. Of course there is reasons to deviate from this, engine wear, kilometres, gas systems, worked engines and turbos.

just depends on the k's on your car as to what viscosity oil you use. I myself have an EB 5ltr with 165,000k's and I use Valvoline. But as I dont own an EF I couldn't really recommend a particular oil. Just as long as its not black & gold or home brand or something. Use a reputable brand and you wont be sorry.

I've seen this question somewhere else. Anyway, use a mineral oil, the original Ford recommendation was 15W-40. That Penrite HPR 15 would be good.

Synthetic oils are of dubious benefit to an older motor, stick with the mineral and change oil and filter every 5,000k's.

My V8 has 220,000 ks on it and has used Castrol 15-40 all its life, and runs smooth as.
