Im currently looking at buying a BA and was wondering what would be a reasonable price for 2nd hand ones. I havnt made my mind up on what i want but it will definately be out of the turbo or xr8 and either sedan or ute, basically which ever one i can get for cheaper.
Go and have a look on this site www.redbook.com.au this should give you some kind of idea what they are worth, and remember that if you buy privately you should still have some of the factory warranty left, but make sure you get it checked over first
Govt and some private ppl are already selling through them.
Autogroup.com.au i think is one site
Wednesday is Govt and ex fleet (newer cars)
Saturday has some newer and the occasional older (EB falcs) car. But they oftern dont put up the new lists till day or 2 b4 hand
1st car EA Fairmont Ghia, extractors, exhaust
2nd EF GLi, 'custom' interior, extractors, exhuast
3rd EA Fairmont 5spd, low'd, extractors, exhuast, head
work, 3.45LSD, EL dash, interior+ El ECU
4th EB2 Fairmont, EL dash and interior, BBM, LSD etc etc
5th EB Fairmont Ghia 5L. All leather, lowered, exhaust etc
I went and had a look at a BA XR8 ute on saturday, it had a full exhaust system, 18's, the fatter steering wheel and was manual had about 20 thousand km's, and it was going for around 39990. But rumour is the dealers arent selling much at the moment so i wonder how low they'll go?
If you shop around there are some good prices on 03 XR8s that are new .. they have wierd combos like leather and no premium but for about 5 grand extra ( assuming youcan afford it ) you get a new car with full warranty
I Know you can get from about $25,000 onwards BA XT Falcon
