Wings that are bigger than the engine.....more fiberglass than metal.....owner thinks it goes quick cause its got RalliArt stickers.....exhaust tips on both sides of the bumper when only one is connected....those sort of stupid things you see on civics, lancers, etc.

For me it's a car that is modded to at least appear to increase performance/looks etc, but obviously fails to do so. Usually in the form of 4"+ exhausts/tips on cars that pump out less gas than a bike pump or wings that create 1Tonne of downforce (and can be seen from the moon) at 300km/h on a car that'll barely crack 140km/h and be roughly 10% larger than a motorcycle. Ridiculously (read-illegally) sized mags with bees dick tyres in small vehicles i'd also consider ricey (and dangerous). This aint confined to imports/4cyls anymore either-many a commodore or falcon i have seen has been ricey-especially in the wing department.
Each to their own though i guess...........

Is a standard WRX considered to be "rice"????????

Maaate, my interpretation of a rice car is a small 4 pot jap car that has no work done to the engine but has a so spunout body kit that you can't recognise what car it is. Add to that a super loud crappy farty exhuast, big big 45 degree multi coloured stickers across the car, a Ferrari F40 style wing, Biiiig 6 inch exhuast tip.
There thats a ricer.

Nice Skylines and Supras are not in this category.

Oh yeah i forgot those power enhancing Ralliart/mugen/nismo/hsv/tickford stickers and badges. I mean a few stickers showing brand loyalty is fine, but covering the whole machine with enough stickers to weigh it down?? Good way to waste a paint job though............

No. The WRX is actually a decent car. It does, however, have some serious rice potential. Modifications, tastefully done, should not be considered rice. (But I did hear that a visible K&N sticker is good for at least 3 HP).
