Hey guys,

I've been researching a bit on what car i want next year.. and so far ive taken a Mazda 3 for a Test Drive and loved it...but ive also been looking at Mazda SP20's and Laser SR2's as a cheaper option if i wanted to mod it a bit...and then theres the Fiesta ST coming out next year (possibly) with a Zetec 2.0 Engine :) any advice??

If you want to mod a small sized car get a N15 Pulsar SSS 2000 model with the SR20DE, countless mod options.

we have had the SP20 for around a year now and havent been able to fault it yet

quite a zippy little thing, handles like its on rails, and it seems like its a pretty decent base to start some mods on!

they are hamburgers with the lot: come with the nice sporty interior, leather wheel and gearknob, silver gauges, cruise, full electrics, 6 stacker...the list goes on

i personally prefer the look of the SR2, but they had sold out when we were looking so the SP20 was the go.

and it will even wheel spin into second...!

^^^^^ what he said. I havent driven many other small cars, but I drove one of these SSS pulsar's and they are excellent to drive and have plenty of power. My dads a mechanic and says that the 2 litre pulsar's are quite good cars.

Yeah the SR20DE/Pulsar SSS is actually the powerhouse of those small cars - I think the SP20 has a 0-100 around the 10/11 sec mark stock and the SR20 is about 8.
