Ok, so we pretty much know what the V8's are.

T Series
5.7 Litre windsor
255 Kw 500 Nm
6 Speed/4 speed auto

XR 8
5.0 Litre windsor
220Kw 435 Nm
5 Speed/4 speed auto

So any idea whats happening on the six cylinder front, surely a power increase, the rumored turbo for a t-series XR6?

XR6 base
4.0 Litre VCT intech
190Kw 385 Nm
5 Speed/4 speed auto
(higher compression ratio, diffrent cams, mapping)

XR6 Turbo
4.0 Litre intech

Well my guess is only as good as yours,

But being a Ford 6 driver i reckon DOHC with single turbo would be the go. :D :D :D

But until we see XR8 going over 220kw i doubt the six's will be over 200kw.

IF Magna already has 163kw, and Camry is rumoured to have a blown V6 then Ford's gotta make their stock six have what the VCT has.

If Ford are going to reengineer a new model I would say the o.h.c 4.6/5.4 will be coming.Ford have stopped production of Windsor back 15 Dec last year.Go through the engine's in B.O.N.The three valve is there too.They want all there v6/v8 engines to be alloy.. The stroker will be a fill in, esp in T range :thumbup: :thumbup:

Correct. The stroker is a fill in until the new modulars arrive with the AV Falcon in September next year.

I hear toyota is getting a blown V6 which will make it fairly quick (even tho its a front wheeler) and Mitsubishi is making a Supercharged 3.5 V6 4 wheel drive, and the next magna is going to be 4 wheel drive and feature a optional 3.6 Supercharged V6.

I don't see how ford can keep the six much under 200 Kw if Holden, Toyota, Mitsubishi will all have six cylinders that are 200Kw or greater.

Holden is starting to free up power with the 3.8 now that the 5.7 LS1 is here. Maybe ford will do the same.

actually mitsubishi's current 3.5L V6 is going to be enlarged to 3.8L. I also believe that the 4WD version will only be for the hero model (vr-x) and the rest will remain FWD. they only got $100m for this upgrade compared to Fords $200 or $400m i can not remember

If the Turbo Corolla is anything to go by then we have nothing to fear of a forced Camry. $38k for a Corolla thats no faster than a Auto 6 cyl Forte BWHAHAHAHAHA nice one Toyota!! LOL
