What year of Ford Ltd is this in the pic?

It look's like a 1980 or 1981 Model to me.

I don't think the 1982 Models have those kind of door mirror's do they? Don't they have the ones that are mounted a little bit further back than these ones?

It is a 1979 LTD Landau. The thing I was keying in on was that I was not finding any other LTD's of this body style with CLEAR turn signals BELOW the dual headlights. All the ones I saw, and they were in the early 1980's, had amber lenses. This car however has clear lenses with amber bulbs.

Check out this page for comparison. Even though the side mirrors are different that can be due to an option package. The car in the posted picture may have the "aerodynamic mirrors" option. Remember, this was the end of the 1970's and beginning of the 1980's so "aerodynamic" would have been a big selling point.

The grill is also identical on this car. The car posted above though is a higher level car because the one on this website does not have the side turning lights that come on when the turn signal is activated, a fancy option at the time.

Good point about the turn signal's...but I have come across loads of pictures of 1979 Ford LTD's,but they all seemed to have single headlights.Now I just had another look around the internet and came across a 1979 Ford LTD brochure,and the cover car had twin headlights like the one pictured.What's going on there?

Was it a single headlight or was it a flip-up headlight door? I see them with those too, perhaps another option.

Here is an example of one of many pictures that I have come across that is marked as a 1979 Ford LTD,and has single headlights...no flip-up doors!!

Interesting, but the grill seems different, as if larger openings. I don't know how Ford decided between single or double headlights though. Then again perhaps one way is the LTD and another way is an LTD Crown Victoria?
