I just bought my first copy of V8X mag due to the lack of anything else decent to read at the newsagent.

I have to admit that I thought it was crap and it's doubtfull that I will ever buy another.

The articles aren't very informative and most actually seem to be based on rumours. They mentioned web forums alot, especially Conrod.com so it seems to me they are using it as a source.

Most of the letters are seem to be from the moronic Holden fan base who believe their second hand road Commodores are direct copies of Mark Skaife's race car.

Is it just me that thinks this of the magazine, did I just pick a bad issue? Is it worth buying again, what are your thoughts?

What!! They aren't!!! (copies of of the race car - I know they are moronic)

There was/is? also a V8X show on Ten as well, seemed to be mainly Grant Denyer interviewing people and Stephen Ellery telling you how to top up your oil/water/coolant/blinker fluid.

Yeah i have thought about buying issues before, but with a quick breeze though the pages and a skim through some articles, it wasnt worth the money.

Pretty sad when the 'official' magazine of our sport doesn't even reach the levels of mags like Hot4s and that ilk of ricer publication.


Jamie, save your money or stock up on Ralph & FHM for those lonely moments on the ship in the next few months :s6:
