Here in Oregon, we have our fairly normal weather. Today was around 52F and sunny. At night it gets to 34F. They have it bad on the other side of the country though.

Cold as heck here (Arkansas). Right now its 19F. Wind chill is 3. We got around a 1/4 of snow and a trace of ice. Tonight temps in the single digits with wind chill around -10. I've had enough for the winter, bring on the warmer temps.

Re: Whats going on in the world

it is moving inland now down graded to a cat 1 but still strong winds and it is dumping a lot of rain some places have recieved over 12 inches of rain in 12 hours one place got 14 inches in 4 hours.so far no one dead but 2 missing.
About 200,000 homes with out power and basic services like water phones and food are now off line.

I am lucky i am not near it but some of my family are but they are safe.

Re: Whats going on in the world

I'm glad your family is safe. They'll probably have a lot of clean-up to do after it's over. Hopefuly they have their basic services back quickly if they're off.

Re: Whats going on in the world

Watching the weather on Sky news , reporting from the USA and down under .Really bad , hope it passes over soon and you all get back to normal .We have had problems in the UK with snow and ice the last month or so back , and are now getting gale force winds and lashing rain .The snow here always brings the country to a stand still , we are never geared up for it and never cope well . Saying that , it's minor to what has / is happening in Australia with the flooding and then cyclone and the recent snow over the pond in the states , take care all .
