Falcon GTHO

I am looking at buying a EB or ED Falcon and keep seeing cars advertised as an SVO. What does this mean and is it a factory standard option as i don't really want to buy a modified car.

yes and no.. SVO is Special Vehicle operations ( i think) They are tweaked and enhanced packages by Mick Webb, He was the main man until Tickford muscled in..

Just a query regarding SVOs... Were there actually EB-ED SVOs? I think I saw one or two, but was sure they were only done to the EAs... ?

EA SVO's are the most common.
Mick Webb was the first man to play with the EA.
An SVO out out about what an EB/D xr6 put out, with some other niceties.

Mine is a V8 EB. Was done in New Zealand. Not sure what it entailed, but it was apparently offered as a package called a Sportsline through a number of dealers ver there. Don't think that Mick Webb had anything to do with it as I think it was after the big fight over the name.

I don't know much about SVO but I have seen a couple of EF and EL SVO XR8's up here in Mackay, north queensland and I talked to one of the drivers at one stage and his is a 330kw SVO XR8.

From what you guys are talking about doesn't seem like the SVO's carried on to the ef and el models becuase tickford had taken over by then.

The SVO's seem pretty enhanced to me becuase 330kw back then was allot of power.

Mick Webb is still building SVO's now from his factory in Ringwood. Melb. They were in different configurations. You could get one with the lot or you could get just the suspension done/interior/zorst etc, and if you were a reall tosser you could put some SVO badges on your stock gl/gli
