A mate if mine is buying a new car and i went and had a look at ir today to check it out for him. Just want to know what you think its worth!

Paintwork is original and looks like it was sprayed last week!
Its been garaged for about the last 2 years except for a few trips to carshows and on cruises. Need to be sold to make way for the wifes new car!
$3000 Sound good. I thought it did :)
My first new car was an Emerald Green XLS Cortina, Geez!! didn't I scare s@#t out of some Holdens back then!! That thing was a ROCKET!!! But I had never ending problems with front suspension.(and rear tyre wear)
Still, if it's as good as it sounds it is probably worth an offer.
so, let me get this right (excuse my cortina ignorance), the cortina had the same engine as the XD/E/F (250 Xflow) but is only a mid sized car? That would make it an absolute rocket. Now I'm wishin i bought one of those instead of my XF-S EFI.
Any major probs with these cortinas? Better, equal or worse than the same XD/E/F Falcons?
yep and that's what I did. I had a EFI XF motor (122kw standard) with a crow cam in my TE (square looking) cortina and GOD DAMN!!! It was the fastest thing I've ever owned (that is untill I finish my turbo EB)
They did have suspention problems though from what I've heard. I had no such worries on my car though. It was dumped on it's ass and the only thing I replaced on the suspension when I had it was a ball joint.
AWESOME car!
