I was stopped at the lights this mornin on the way to work and an AU ute pulled up next to me. He had bodycoloured pieces around his arches that flared them out a bit. Not ridiculously, just added a bit of bulk around the arch. Has anyone seen these before? They looked pretty stock but i reckon they looked pretty damn good too. If anyone knows where to find a set id appreciate it.
Dont know for sure, but I think they are a ford part, the ute your talking about was called the "Merlin, as in the fish" and ford did bring them out as an option....Hope this helps...

The Marlin? Hmm might had to look and see if the rear ones will fit on the sedans as well and try and track down a set.
Yes they're a factory item. Was bought out for the AU utes. The rears can be fitted to the sedans apparently with a little modification. Don't know what this "modification" is though
Hmm ive searched all over the net for a pic of them this morning but i cant find any. Wil have to keep searchin i spose. Might see if Russ can track down parts numbers and prices.
Here you go. It's only a small photo though. I was looking at fitting these flares on to my AUI XR8 sedan about two years ago, but never got around to it. Looks good with the factory AUI bodykit, works well.
