"AUSTRALIA'S best cars for 2002 were unveiled in Hobart's Salamanca Square yesterday.
The Australia's Best Cars Awards pass judgement on every new car release in a 12-month period and give awards in 12 categories."
"Judge David Rose said yesterday eight of the winning cars had been released into the Australian market for the first time this year.
He said Ford's decision to remake the Falcon had given it a win in the Best Family Car section.
"It's a great car in a category with very little between final contendors, which included Commodore and the new Toyota Camry V6," Mr Rose said.
Ford also won the Best Sports Car under $57,000 with its Falcon XR6 Turbo."
