I know the RRP of the new BA have been released, and I've got a brochure with the specs and options list, but when I called my local dealer today, he told me that they've yet to get the full price lists that tell them how much all the options are.
I'm trying to compare the price of an XT with 8 specific options (Auto, sports IRS, 17" alloys, LSD, Rear power windows, cruise control, parking light kit & rear spoiler) from the spec sheet to a N/A XR6 with 3 options (Auto, LSD & rear power windows).
These are the two options I'm looking at, as I'm trying to figure out which will be cheaper as the base prices are only $4K apart.
I know the Auto is $920, but what about the rest?
Does anyone work at a dealership or know when these prices will be in the dealer's hands?
The brochure says no LSD with traction control, so unfortunately Fairmont Ghia cant be optioned with LSD (I would opt to have the TC removed just to do so, if thats what it took), but I dont know what the deal is with XR6 and XR8? I guess they dont have TC!!

Ford announces Falcon pricing
Ford has released BA Falcon pricing, and as expected it's up on the previous AU Series 3 models. Ford did admit to rethinking its price changes in light of Holden's zero change with VY Commodore, tempering its increase slightly from the 3 percent across the board change originally suggested in July.
Cheapest Falcon on the block is the XT, now priced at $33,640 with air conditioning and power front windows, stretching to $49,980 for the Fairmont Ghia. XR8 pricing won't be available until early 2003, but it will be on the higher side of $50,000.
The three valve 220kW V8 is a flat $5000 option on XT, Fairmont and Fairmont Ghia sedans, though XT's lack of traction control ($470 option) may bump the price slightly higher. Ford's BA Falcon range does not include a V8 wagon, XT and Futura six cylinder the only choices for load luggers. Side airbags ($500), adjustable pedals ($350) and reverse sensing system ($500) are optional on XT and Futura sedans and wagons, as is sports suspension ($330) and heavy duty suspension ($330) which raises the ride height and beefs up the springs and dampers.
