Hey all, to those who have recently sold their car or who have recently bought their car where is the best place to advertise it. Im throwing it on carpoint.com, is there anywhere else i should put it. Trading post is like $90 odd is it worth the money seeing as it's only up for two weeks.

Use the trading post pay on sale option if you're tight on cash at the moment. Ive advertised on here for my EL and about 150 have looked at it but no replies.

Ive had it up here for a month or two now and got one serious reply yesterday. But just want to get it out there so i can get rid of it to make way for my new baby, i have no need to sell it yet as ive got a minimum 4 week wait for my new one and the money from the EF is for insurance and mods.

I've always had best success with the Trading Post. Over many years I've probably sold a dozen or so cars and the TP's always most reliable.

if im looking at buying a car i like to see pictures of it first along with a price. that way for me i dont have to travel hours just to be dissapointed coz its not what they said it was.
in my books pics go a long way to selling a car.

$48 for 9 photos and 2000 characters. And stays online till the car is sold, also has a add in the unique cars mag next month.

I had a series 3 xr8 on the market for 1 month...advertised it twice in the Adelaide Advertiser...not 1 phone call. Twice in the Trading post (ie 4 weeks)....not 1 phone call until I was about to pull the add and resigned to the fact the the BAMkII woud have to wait and then I got a phone call.

He fell in love with it a bought it next day....that afternoon I'm down at the local Ford dealership signing up for a MkII

So in the end I only got 1 call (Trading Post) but it had the desired result.
