Over the past couple of days I seen the HSV ad twice on the telly. Which I must admit is not bad as they emphasise the wonderful bellowing sound of the V8. So, what about the 220kw XR8, why are we not seeing similar ads from Ford??. If they gave the XR8 the same treatment, I would be taping the ad to re-play it over and over again at full volume. Have I missed them or are they yet to come I wonder???.
I've seen the XR8 ad quite a bit lately. Doesn't have the horny V8 sound to it but. :(
That bloody awful Gregory's ford ad is repeated adnorsium as well.. I hope they don't think that'll help 'em sell cars!!..
For those who haven't seen it it's a dopey "upbeat" number with some bird singing (or strangling a cat) with piccies of all the different Ford models.. Bloody terrible... :rolleyes:
Yep, I agree totally, the ads are a waste of time, I don't know what ad company they use, but you would think they understand that cars are for driving and that's what an ad should contain. Take a look at the BMW and Subaru ads, they're great, every time I see one I want to buy one!. Maybe they should hand the task of advertising over to Ford Forums, I reckon they'd sell a few then.
I have'nt seen the XR8 sedan ad, maybe I should watch more TV!!, the XR8 ute ad is a classic though.
WE WANT TO HEAR THE 8's!!!! Why oh why doesn't the beautiful voice of the Windsor make it to the screen (or speakers I guess!)??? WHY WHY WHY!!!!

Even my Holden loveing friend loves the XR8 ute ad! Even better she even likes the ute! Really scary thing is she said she wouldn't mind if I bought a new Falcon ute because she reckons they look great, although I think she was talking about a black XR8. Just might be possible to turn her from the dark side!

Saw a new ad showing the Ford commercial range tonight, it wasn't too good, basically they put all the ads for the XR Ute, XLS and the F-250 together and had Ford Built Tough branding in it.

I saw that too (while watching the netball ) , the ad sucks, nothing compared to the ad's HSV/Holden come up with:( :(
In my eyes the perfect ad for the neww 220KW XR8 would be 60 seconds of it roaring at the lights against a SS, then Gree, and that guy from the F1 goes " GO GO GO!!!" and they drag, XR pulls in front, sticks into 2nd and dissapears out of sight while the SS owner is calling Holden Road Side Assist...:D
your a sick little individual pritesh....you forgot one thing though, the ford driver should be seen throwing the holden driver his phone as he leaves the lights.:D
