I myself am a drafter/building designer. My father is a builder. My mother is a Land conveyancer and my sister is in Real Estate.

Hows that for family industry?

Who else is a trades person or related in the construction industry?

Well Rastus, I'm a Steel Framing drafter, so I know what you put up with every day in the way of thinking.
The company I work for pre-fabs all their wall frames and trusses in the factory and freights them out on site to be erected.

RaTTus - Brickies labourers are definitely included. Damn thats a hard job to get used to. I'd rather be pushing a pen than a wheel barrow imo.

philstoj - I was a painter for about 3 months straight. I loved it apart from the mob I worked for. Complete wankers they were. Well thats in the past now.

viper - hehe, yes, well, I can only imagine what comments get thrown around where you work, but dont dispair too much, I reckon there is worse out there!

Just remember that when your doing offices duties inside a heated room during winter, they are freezing their nads off to make a living. I know which I would prefer!
