I must admit I havent named my XR6 but the family wagon is called "Kermit". Maybe I'm strange but all my cars end up with names after a while. Just like my computers, they all have names too.
Uhhh yea guilty, I was told 2 things when getting a new car, name the car, and after u get it drink like you have never drunk before and u will have luck, so I did both. Not necessarily for the car thou
I tend to name mine based on the rego plates. My old Charade got "Sylvia" because the plates started with SYL.
However, our new XR6 starts with AOF... so my husband, being the creative genius he is, drew some inspiration from South Park and named it ASSES OF FIRE..... the whole family and all the relo's have got in on the act and reckon it's the way they recognise our car out on the streets.
My number plate has "GL" in it so my g/f calls her "Gliss" Not quite the fear invoking name that I was after. I tried to talk her into something like "thumper", "bruiser", "pounder" or anything other than "Gliss, princess of the flower pixies" anyway, I don't mind
ok firstly I going to say that obviously our gf's or wives have too much power over us if they can name our cars...mine did have a name untill she came along now its Priscilla
reason? because it looks like something it really isn't...lol

Agreed. Exemplified by the fact that all we can do is complain about the situation on forums rather than reclaiming naming rights! It’s a matriarchal society :(
My wife has called her 99 Lancer .......... Bessy ..... its only a 4cyl 1.6L and we had a full load up a big hill, she said come on Bessy ???, and that was that its now called Bessy.
As for me, never named my cars, and I am not going start.
