Im just wondering who on here will definately have completed a turbo/supercharger setup on their car before years end.

I know there is a few people doing it now so tell me about your setups and what power you guys plan to make.

Ill start:
Im using a gt30 600hp turbo, 'peppertree performance manifold', front mount intercooler and most likely Wolf 3d Version 4 engine management, bigger injectors and fuel pump.

The car will be delivered to a Rotary Workshop on the 14th of August to have all the piping,hoses and exhaust done and fitting of the computer. I was told it would be ready in no longer than 2 weeks afterwards.
Ill be running 7 pounds initially or whatever the workshop says is safe and hope to put out 180ish rwkw (hoping for more)
If I run in the 13's-low 14's ill be happy.

What about you guys?
Who's up for going on a commodore cruise when we are all done?

im already running positive pressure in the laser over 200kw at the engine is enough fun.
as for your setup...
a 600hp turbo might be a bit "laggy" if you use the wrong wheel/housing combo.
dont be scared to use a smallish exhaust housing, like a .84 A/R with a back cut "O" trim wheel.( a car with a 600hp compressor made 480hp at the wheels on 19psi on optimax that i know of.

what combo are you going to use?

I was told that boost should be on at about 24-2500rpm which Im fine with.

It has a 1.06 exhaust housing not sure of the trim though. I bought the turbo back in january so no changing it now. We will just have to see how it turns out.

The engine will remain standard for now. If it dies it will be replaced with a cheap reco. My long term goal (next year sometime) is to put all this gear into an AU so Im not going to spend much building the current engine as I wont be able to put it into the next car.

Shit! 200kw in a laser.. Thats awesome! Were you the laser at Heathcote in May?

a rear housing of 1.0 is ok, but youd be surprised of how many dudes think they need bigger!

yep, she made 140kw at all four wheels on 1 bar boost... lotsa fun!!

hey talking about turbos i have a ef 302w and very soon im thinkin about a single turbo what would be a good size it will be intercooled about 8 to 12 psi what kind of turbo would be a good match i was thinkin gt30or gt35 what would be a cheaper alternative.

well when the next ea comes along in a couple of months a turbo wont be far away. Unfortunalty I know next to nothing about turbos so Ill be watching you guys closely.

Im not after a track tearer, I just want something that kicks in at 3000rpm. So I can still drive "normally" and not be on/off boost every 2 secs. And if I want to boot it I just strech her legs.

I'd love to up the boost in my to 14-16psi, perhaps run a switch in the interior to alternate between boost levels of just whack on an electronic boost controller. That'll be in a couple more months...might just throw some stronger h-beam conrods into the shopping cart as well.
