Just thought i'd start a thread to find out who on the forums is from the Central Queensland area or close by. Such as Rockhampton, Yeppoon, Mackay, Gladstone, Blackwater, Emerald etc. There doesn't seem to be all that many from what i have seen.
I'm in Gracemere just outside Rockhampton myself.

I lived in Rocky for 6 years. Couldn't get out fast enough!! Took 6 years !!

I seen it for sale in the local paper and i think it was on the net. My brotheranlaw was intersted in it but i think a 460 is a bit of overkill unless its for straight line 1/4mile stuff. Is it on the road? How does it corner and handle?

Its getting real depressing. There are no ford people my age in this town that go for a cruise. I have to go out thursday night and sit with skylines and they chat about the most stupid things sometimes. I just feel so outa place. There are so many imports now its unbelievable. The only person i can chat to about the cars i love is my father which is pretty sad. Is it like this at most places. Are the imports takin over with these fellas who talk about stuff they have no idea about. I just want a couple of old V8's even or even betta ford V8's to hang with and chat with about these cars not bolt on piping and intercoolers to 2litres of alloy. Looks like i'll just have to stay the odd one out and just sit and listen to them talk about stuff i'm not interested in and be happy knowing i'm the only one there with real taste in cars. Don't get me wrong i love these fellas they are my best mates but when they get caught up talkin skylines (which i also have notin against just not interested in them) i feel like i'm not even there it sucks. And when i start talkin clevo's they just change the subject or have no idea what i'm talkin about.

I'm mates with Chris Schuman, had a bbq round his place a couple weeks ago. He actually gave me a model of a yellow glow gt the same as mine which was worth quite a bit. I've got to buy him a bottle of Bourbon, can't believe his jenorosity. I'm in the All Classic Motor Club as well have been since it started. Just wish there were more young fella's involved in this sort of thing. Theres a new club started here called the Capricorn Drivers Support Network, which is for the younger people mite give them ago as well, most of them are rotarys or imports as well but at least my age.

Yer Chris and his brother are holden mad. His father is a ford man though we just give em heaps and they give heaps back. His Brocky aint to bad or his Beamer. How do i sign up for cruise notifications?

His brother dave actually just moved to Bundaberg. He lived in Ford street here and he's moved to commodore street there and around the corner is torana street. lol
