Why did you choose that colour?

There has been a lot of talk about the colour of each others cars.

When I buy a new car I usually pick the colour that
the company (usually Ford! but never Hold*n) advertise as this is the colour that would make the car stand out.

My Subaru was in the rally blue, The AU S was Chilli red. I wanted the XR6 in Silver (as it is always advertised) but ended up with Venom.

I'm interested in why people choose a particular colour.

My XH XR6 ute was red, same as the AU S. Reason?.. Red goes quicker of course..
The ute I had no choice.. white, white or white..
I'm hoping for the XR to be narooma blue, blueprint, or wild violet..

Well unfortunately I live in a small town, only one Ford dealer,so I tend to buy whats on the showroom floor rather than place an order then wait weeks for it to arrive,I have Galaxy Blue but I would rather have had Liquid Silver at the time, but now I would pick the new Metiorite colour.

Mine is Bermuda Mica. Best colour available in the VTII SS.

Others were Phantom(Black), Heron(White) and Tiger so Blue was the best option for me.

Would have got Red if it was available cos it's faster.

Current pick is Delft Mica for the Munro.

Heritage green = best colour available on E-Series. Varies depending on lighting conditions from a rich deep metallic dark green, to near black (see avatar pic)!! And all in between are just plain sweet.

No, I'm not biased in the slightest... :s6:

New colour on AV will be either black, silver if it suits the new styling cues and wheels, or something like the new blueprint.. very nice! :s6:

I didnt "pick" my cars colour...

I just went looking for a manual ED XR8, and wanted the one in the best condition.. (I was looking for a mechanical A1, and an immaculate interior)

I just so happened to get an awesome colour too.... poly green. its metalic green with a blue pearl.

When I was looking for my EA... I was more picky on colours... didnt want a brown interior, and didnt want a "yucky" colour..

(I remember finding an EA after about 4 weeks of looking - it had an AWESOME interior, body was perfect, new motor etc etc... but it was pale blue... !!)

I choose liquid silver. Dirt and scratches showed up less and it looked good with the chrome bits of a fairmont.

Best colour for the EF, has to be Polynesian Green. The colour is exactly in between blue and green. Blue in the light and green in the dark. Since my car is a base model the Polynesian green really makes the car standout and not look like a fleet special. Coupled with a manual and it's a wagon with decent looks and performance i reckon.

Even after all these years of owning her, still can't find a better colour in the EF range.

Gotta love that Cobalt blue for the ED. Probably would have gone with almost any colour to find a Sprint but luckily the one I bought was the colour I wanted.

Picked Chilli red for my AU S but that was only because I blew my budget on the ESP pack and couldn't afford metallic paint. Talk about bright in the sun though!
