Question Why does everyone seam to hate prodrive??

Nearly every post in which prodrive appears there's someone that doesn't seem to be happy at the deal.
Need I remind you all that Prodrive is a huge international performance company with extensive knowledge in 4wd perfromance systems and a hell of a lot of raceing knowledge.
The fact that some of there top engineers will have input into the net model falcon and the GT is a point of celebration it's almost like a Cosworth Falcon!!!!
I would be proud to see a prodrive falcon released and while I do love those Tickford Wings the level that prodrive could bring the falcon to is mind bogalling!
Any one that knows of prodrive should be impressed!

i think that most of us dont want to see tickford and ford screwed over. prodrive's record in competition speaks for itself and is highly respected in that field but in the consumer market they are an unknown entity. tickford has the runs on the board in that market.

I like Prodrive, Dont they do alot of the Subaru STI stuff ? (AWD systems, turbo's etc)
Imagine a Prodrive XR6 Turbo AWD. A few mods and that would be a Godzilla eater!

I just think that no one wants tickford to go. It's been such a huge part of the resurgance of Ford, it's a shame to see it go now.

True.

Tickford basically came about when Ford brought back the V8 about 10 years ago. Now finally after all these years Ford will really make something special, and Tickford (only the name) might disapear. Although it will be the same company either way, so I suppose we will get used to whatever it changes to (if it does).

Tickford will not be screwed over just because prodrive bought them out. Look at the expertise that prodrive has at it's fingertips!

True, have a drive of a 400kW Prodrive GTHO, and see if you miss Tickford.....:)

But I agree, Tickford (or whatever) can only gain from the buy-out.

do you think Tickford would get full access to all these resources? Prodrive wanted Tickford for some reason, and where mergers/buyouts are concerned something has to give. With the buyout of Tickford it does give Prodrive an avenue into the retail market.

PRODRIVE

Prodrive don't do the STi, but do make a huge range of performance gear for the WRX, the also build and specialise in sequential gearboxes and build the Word Rally WRX's for Subaru. The sheer scope of the stuff they do in motorsport is staggering!!

Tickford we love, but Prodrive opens a whole new world of potential for the development of the "Tickford" cars!!

Check out their website

ford and tickford have spent 10 years building on the name tickford and just as everybody is getting to understand what it is it will be going by the wayside it is a shame. as for a 400kw falcon it would be great but i do not think it will happen at the end of the day it is 110ks speed limit and the goverments will put a stop to it just like in 72/73 i hope for fords sake they do a good job.
