Had my front number plate (XR8888) stolen yesterday from the Adelaide Aquatic Centre whilst there for my daughters 6th Birthday.
Did't really bother me at first because I had a spare set at home from the old XR8.....today I thought I had better report it to the police incase some d*#khead decides to cruise through a red light or speed camera with my plates going mach 1.
No probs was the reply from the police...just go down to Motor Reg tomorrow and get another set...and by the way, you can never have that number again!!!
Had those plates for 3 years and was planning to keep them for as long as I was having XR8's...which is a long time!
So if anyone in Adelaide sees these plates and they aren't on a Vixen BA XR8 with quad pipes you have my permission to do whatever you want to them !

Yep, I had plates stolen as well, they went through the same speed camera 6 times at various speeds ranging from 77km/h to 118km/h (IIRC) in a 70 zone, 1 red light camera and stole about $400 worth of fuel. Its more annnoying than anything else.
But you might be lucky and its only a souviner hunter - although it still costs you money to replace the plate!!
Just because I rock, doesnt mean I'm made of stone
a bloke at work had his car stolen with personal plates, got the same set agian but a different colour. thats in victoria don't know if it applies elsewhere.
so what happens if you paid ten grand for them can't you get replacements if they are stolen???
