Question Why XK?

OK, I've had a few beers and have begun thunkin :-)

XK --> XL --> XM --> XP --> XT --> XR --> XW --> XY --> XA/B/C/D/E/F...

Why did ford start with XK?

and damn it what happened to the XN and XX falcons?

Well it was codenamed 19XK Thunderbird so I guess they went from there

they should have stuck with tradition EA should have been EK and BA should have been BK! :-)

Has Ford ever explained model codes? Once they started again with the EA I thought it'd be cool if they continued with the E_
