Will all v8s have raised bonnet - Ford Forums - Mustang Forum, Ford Trucks, Ford Focus and Ford Cars

Just wondering if all ba models that offer the v8 option will have a raised bonnet simular to the xr8. Maybe I have missed something here but isn't that raised bonnet there so the v8 will fit

only the 4 valve, so basically those in the XR8, GT, GT-P and Pursuit... however, the 3 Value which is in the Fairmont Ghia does not have the raised bonnet as it doesn't have as a larger manifold.. (someone correct me if im wrong, im not that good at all the technical stuff :s6:)

Probably only the ones with the Boss 260 engine (i.e XR8, GT, GT-P)

The 220kw V8 won't have a bonnet bulge. The Bonnet bulge is for the quad cam V8 and intake needs room to fit under the bonnet.

Just another point to my bulging problem. If say you owned a xt with a 220 v8 you may be limited to the amount of mods you could do without having the bulging bonnet

The bulge is there because the BOSS 260 is unlike any engine you have ever seen in an Aussie production car before. Sorry getting carried away. Basically they bolted on the Mustang Cobra R intake manifold, modified for the 5.4L. Its a big bastard of a manifold that just wouldn�t bit under the standard bonnet. The BOSS 260 is going to be one of the sexiest V8's you will ever see and will look fantastic sitting in the engine bay. This will all obviously be quickly forgotten when we turn the key and bury the size 12 into the floor.
