Will AV release do much to the price of, say an EB or ED?

Just wondering whether I should bother with the 'waiting till the new model is released' thing, as I noticed it didn't do a great deal to car prices when the AU was released; the change seemed far more gradual than I expected originally.

So yeah, will there be a drop? Would I be dreaming to think I could get a good condition, low kilometre EBII for $5k, for example? I see a couple for that price now, but they're either ex-taxis or they've seen over 200,000kms worth of action.

I'd say that Barra would do 5/8ths of stuff all to the price of an EB-ED..

I think it willonly affect the priced of AU's and to a limited extent EL's, the models released before that won't really be affected much IMO

and I'll endorse that. Won't do much (good) for the resale of AU though.

Not to EB/ED, no - it would mostly affect AU, which has been affected itself by each series release.

Hopefully the price of AU3 T Series will come down to around $35-40k.

I will then be calling my bank manager!!

I don't think the release of a new model will affect EB-D prices I think it's just age that does it. I was offered only $5K trade for my EBII on a $20K EL XR6 and I originally paid just a few thou short of that about 4 years ago. I won't be buying the XR6.
