I have finally been able to squiz at the spy shots of the AV in the wheels magazine. And no doubt, from the front, it's the first time it's looked decent. All other rearward shots with all the extra camouflage baggage have made it look, well, ordinary.
Is anyone worried that it has a very strong family resemblance to an EL?
Maybe that's an old EL in disguise. Maybe they've put too much Falcon DNA back into the AV.
I dont think it'll look too much like a EL, the benchmark vehicle for styling during development was an Audi A6, so expect a lot of attention to fit and finish, along with slightly European look.
Motors looked good.
DOHC, Multi coil setup between cam valley, Turbo versions (8 and 6).

Please, someone tell me I'm wrong.....

From the spy shots I have seen in the Mags the AV does tend to look a bit like the EF/EL but I reckon it wont when you see it without the covers.
Id be deleting this thread if I was a moderator. The less the opposition knows about the Av the better it will be for Ford!
If im not mistaken Uncle Geoff asked us people who went on the FF Raid to talk about the AV as little as possible!

Well this thread contains no info that has not been seen in the motoring mags, so it will not be deleted. I for one refuse to delete any little thread cos it may contain the slightest bit of info about AV unless that info has come from any other source than one of the motoring news sites or mags around the place.. then it will be removed post haste.
We cannot operate in a nazi like environment where we delete thready left right and centre cos they contain the two magic letters "AV' next to eachother

Stuff that has been mentioned here is to do with what has been seen in the Magazines.
