Will FPV advertise?

Will FPV advertise unlike HSV. I would see this as an excellent opportunity for the FPV name to be spread on tv. Imagine how much anticipation it would create with having teaser like ads for the GT, which would no doubt catch the youth market which ford desperatly needs.

Is there any laws preventing advertising for companies like HSV and FPV?

Expect a rather impressive print campaign. I'd be thinking major advertorials in the major motoring rags & newspapers.
Unfortunately TV is not a perfect medium to get the point across in 30 second spots.

You dont think 30sec ads would be effective in the ad breaks for V8 Supercars? its one of the most watched sports now and young people are into it, particularly during Bathurst or Q.L 500

HSV did advertise for a while. They had that song generated by sounds whcih were emitted from an LS1. I think they even tried to flog off a few singles of it too. Shows the capatilistic minds HSV's marketing gurus have. "If it's got a HSV badge it'll sell."

yeh, HSV advitised with those pathetic "i just want one!" ads

wonder if even HSV can fix the VY up, going to have a hard time improving that rear end. And yes, it's a lot worse than the AU ever was from what i can gather so far. If the AUIII came out initially along with the VX commodore, instead of AU I and VT, it would have been a different story in the sales race i believe. The AUIII was a great looking car, a damn lot beter than the VX, especially the Fairmont against the Calais. Did anyone else notice how ugly the comodore got, the front end inparticular. the BARRA has extended on this and hopefully the public won't get caught up in recent past and for once buy the better (much!) car this time - BARRA

IMO the HSV ad with the V8 Symphony is pure brillance. I hate HSV as much as I hate Shane Warne, but the ad makes a huge impact in 30 seconds, especially durring the V8Supercar rounds combined with the live coverage we get here in NZ! :s6:

true, the V8 Symphony ads were great but i was referring to the one where the guy talks about his life and what he should do and then says stuff that and gets a HSV. not a good ad at all, and compared to the rest of holdens marketing campaign (a place where ford needs to improve if they are going to over take holden), the line "i just want one" is pathetic. hopefully ford can come out with a good one.
does anyone rememder the phrase "have you driven a ford lately"
most people knew that . definitly not saying to bring it back, but a new phrase has to get peoples attention

Yeah I think the new slogan is going to be:

"Have you beaten a Ford lately?"

And what do you think the Holden fans come back to that will be?

A simple YES.

If ford don't win on the race track, that line doesn't look all that great. I know the V8 supercars have only the "shell" in common with the road cars, but young (silly) people don't know that.
