Hey all,

Just wondering if Ford Australia will fit the new* Ford logo to their cars? If so, when will we first see it on an actual car? Or was it just for the logo on Ford's offices/letter-heads etc?

*I refer to the new logo that has the gradient background. 99% sure it was released for/on Ford's 100th birthday.

i was under the impression that the new logo was just a replacement for the "ford motor company" signage on the building in Michigan. Everywhere you read "ford motor company" is now just "FORD"

No ones going to notice nothing anyways.

"The new logo is much the same as the old but features crisper lines and enhanced shadowing around the word "Ford" to make it bolder.

The new design will be used in advertising and on printed material such as annual reports and business cards. Ford, which marks its 100th year in business June 16, will not change the oval it uses to brand its cars and trucks.

At the time it opted for the script design three years ago, Ford officials said the move was appropriate because the company had become bigger - having added brands like Jaguar, Volvo, Mazda and Land Rover - and represented more than what the blue oval stood for.

But Ford said Thursday the return of a slightly tweaked oval is a way to connect with employees and customers at the start of a new century of business."

I'm sure us Ford fanatics would notice it Hardly any difference, but I was just curious if it would make it to the actual vehicles.

I did have a big version of it somewhere. I'll try and dig it up...
