Dude,

Why or earth would you think that the Barra's windows can't be tinted? Fair enough, Ford is using some interesting glass, ie, some of it is still coming from o/seas, and some new stuff from Pilko's, but, that's the first I heard that it can't be tinted....

As Paul Hanson used to say - "Please Explain". We did you hear this from?

Intrigued now...

Cheers

The windows on BA CAN be tinted but care should be taken that the tint is not (as I understand) metalised. This apparently can interfere with the radio reception (as the aerial is embedded in the rear window)
I am aware that tests have been done and tints are available that have no effect on radio reception aIthough I cant provide any more detail because I didnt really go into it with the guys I was talking to re. the tests they had conducted.

I'm sorry I should have been more specific! Dye based window tint reduces reception, metal based tint will have no AM and greatly reduced FM reception. It's also recommended that tint is not fitted to glass with an antenna. Who on earth would tint the side windows on a sedan, but not the rear?

Maybe this is an opportunity for Ford to come out with their BA specific tint.
