Windows Movie Maker 2

The other half spend about 2 days editing a video in it only to find out it only saves in wmf format? Is there any downloadable programs on the internet that converts to vcd or mpg. Also does anybody else have problems with movie maker constantly crashing? Thanks

and on the crashing thing... What can you expect from the same people that bought such wonders as Windows ME?

Re: Windows Movie Maker 2

you can save it as an AVI but beware, big file sizes!

eg. 15 sec for a clip i made was 75 MB!

click on "file" go to "save movie" then choose the quality setting as other then choose "DV AVI Pal" and your done

Re: Windows Movie Maker 2

The software that came with my burner converts media files to VCD and SVCD

Try 'nero' by Ahead

Most bundled software does it, the brothers DVD burner software will also convert it so if Nero fails i could find out

Im sure Macromedia Studio does it too

Re: Windows Movie Maker 2

i found that even though it saves it as wmf it still runs under a normal media player even if movie maker isnt installed. u can just manually rename the file by pressing F2 and chaning it..might require a codec maybe..if u dont rename it a computer will either 'ask which program to open it with'(if movie maker isnt installed) or open it with movie maker and u can watch it in there i think
